Passionate Advocate
Welcome!
My name is Colette Mahon. I’m an employment law attorney in San Diego, representing only employees. I work with Delvaux Law, the nation’s first law firm in service of women’s rights at work. An employment law firm that focuses on women, created and championed by women. Prior to my current position, I worked for Gruenberg Law, the largest and most established employment law firm in San Diego.
I’m from the east coast and moved to San Diego seven years ago. My husband and I packed his 1998 Buick LeSabre (which nobody thought would make it) and took our road trip to sunny San Diego. I grew up just outside of Philadelphia and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2013.
I am passionate about helping my clients vindicate injustices in their workplaces. It’s astonishing how many of my clients were employed by the same employer for many years, yet terminated illegally. They are thrust into turmoil and stripped of so much. You don’t get a retirement party when you’re fired and you don’t get any well wishes.
During my time at Gruenberg Law, Josh Gruenberg and I have shared the following exceptional results:
$490,000 result for a disability discrimination and failure to accommodate case
$425,000 result for a disability discrimination and failure to accommodate case
$400,000 result for a pregnancy discrimination case
$300,000 result for an age discrimination case
$453,000, $266,500, and $240,000 for equal pay cases
$200,000 for a retaliation for taking medical leave case
$195,000 for a sexual harassment case
I continue to obtain justice and deserved results for my clients with Daphne Delvaux, Esq. at Delvaux Law.
My passion for workers’ rights drives my work and has made me an excellent trial attorney. I fight vigorously for employees who have been victimized in their workplace by prosecuting their employers to the fullest extent of the law. I bring to each of my cases a passion to enforce fairness and ensure employers play by the rules.
These cases can be long and hard fought. When you’re matched up against your employer, it may seem like you can’t beat the odds. Don’t give up, because you’ve just found the right person to fight for you.
